عَنْ أَبِي جُهَيْمِ بْنِ اَلْحَارِثِ ‏- رضى الله عنه ‏- قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ ‏- صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏-{ لَوْ يَعْلَمُ اَلْمَارُّ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ اَلْمُصَلِّي مَاذَا عَلَيْهِ مِنْ اَلْإِثْمِ لَكَانَ أَنْ يَقِفَ أَرْبَعِينَ خَيْرًا لَهُ مِنْ أَنْ يَمُرَّ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ , وَاللَّفْظُ لِلْبُخَارِيِّ .‏ 1‏
‏1 ‏- صحيح .‏ رواه البخاري (510)‏ ، ومسلم (507)‏ ، واللفظ متفق عليه ، ولذلك لا وجه لقول الحافظ : أن اللفظ للبخاري ، وإن قصد ‏-رحمه الله‏- أن هذا اللفظ للبخاري دون مسلم لقوله : "من الإثم" فليس بصحيح؛ لأن هذا اللفظ ليس للبخاري كما أنه ليس لمسلم ، فحقه الحذف ، وإن احتج محتج أنها رواية الكشميهني فاحسن جواب على ذلك هو جواب الحافظ نفسه في : "الفتح" (1/858)‏ : "وليست هذه الزيادة في شيء من الروايات عند غيره ، والحديث في "الموطأ" بدونها .‏ وقال ابن عبد البر: لم يختلف على مالك في شيء منه ، وكذا رواه باقي الستة ، وأصحاب المسانيد ، والمستخرجات بدونها ، ولم أرها في شيء من الروايات مطلقا، لكن في "مصنف ابن أبي شيبة ": "يعني : من الإثم " فيحتمل أن تكون ذكرت في أصل البخاري حاشية، فظنها الكشميهني أصلا؛ لأنه لم يكن من أهل العلم ولا من الحفاظ ، بل كان راوية ، وقد عزاه المحب الطبري في "الأحكام" للبخاري وأطلق ، فعيب ذلك عليه ، وعلى صاحب "العمدة" في إيهامه أنها في "الصحيحين" ، وأنكر ابن الصلاح في "مشكل الوسيط " على من أثبتها في الخبر، فقال : لفظ الإثم ليس في الحديث صريحا ، ولما ذكره النووي في "شرح المهذب " دونها قال : وفي رواية رويناها في الأربعين لعبد القادر الهروي : "ماذا عليه من الإثم " .‏ ا.‏ هـ .‏ قلت : وبعد هذا التحقيق البديع يذهل الحافظ عنه ، وينسب هذا اللفظ : "من الإثم" للبخاري .‏ تنبيه : روى البخاري ومسلم قول أبي النضر ‏- أحد رواة الحديث ‏- : "لا أدري أقال : أربعين يوما ، أو شهرا ، أو سنة ".‏

Narrated Abu Juhaim bin al-Harith (RA):

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: "If the person who passes in front of another person in prayer knew the magnitude of his sin, it would have been better for him to wait for forty than pass in front of him." [Agreed upon. This wording is from al-Bukhari].
