Narrator:Anas ibn Mālik

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي التَّيَّاحِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لأَبِي ذَرٍّ ‏"‏

اسْمَعْ وَأَطِعْ، وَلَوْ لِحَبَشِيٍّ كَأَنَّ رَأْسَهُ زَبِيبَةٌ ‏"

Narrated Anas bin Malik:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said to Abu-Dhar, "Listen and obey (your chief) even if he is an Ethiopian with a head like a raisin."

Explanation in Arabic

أمَرَ النبيُّ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ بطاعةِ وُلاةِ الأُمورِ في المَعروفِ، دُونَ المُنكَرِ؛ لِمَا في الخُروجِ عليهم مِنَ المَفاسِدِ الكَبيرةِ، وحَذَّرَ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ مِن شَقِّ عَصا الطَّاعةِ ومُفارَقةِ الجَماعةِ. وفي هذا الحَديثِ بَيانُ ذلك؛ حيثُ قال صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ: «اسْمَعوا وأطِيعوا، وإنِ استُعمِلَ حَبَشيٌّ، كأنَّ رأْسَه زَبيبةٌ»، يَعني: وإنْ وُلِّيَ عليكم رَجُلٌ مِنَ الحَبَشةِ، كأنَّ رأْسَه مِثلُ الزَّبيبةِ، إشارةً إلى سَوادِ اللَّونِ، وتَجَعُّدِ الشَّعرِ، ومَقصودُه: التَّنبيهُ على ازدِراءِ الناسِ له عادةً، والمَعنى: أنَّ المُؤمِنَ يَجِبُ عليه طاعةُ وَليِّ أمْرِه ومَن وَلَّاه عليه وَليُّ أمْرِه، أيًّا كان جِنسُه أو لَونُه؛ ما دامَ يَقودُ الناسَ بكِتابِ اللهِ تعالَى -كما في رِوايةٍ أُخرَى في صحيح مُسلِمٍ- يَعني: ما دامَ مُتَمَسِّكًا بالإسلامِ والدُّعَاءِ إلى كِتابِ اللَّهِ تعالَى على أيِّ حَالٍ في نَفْسِه ودِينِه وأخلاقِه، ولم يَأمُرْ بمَعصيةِ اللهِ عزَّ وجلَّ.

قَوْلُهُ : ( حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبَانَ ) هُوَ الْبَلْخِيُّ مُسْتَمْلِي وَكِيعٍ وَقِيلَ : الْوَاسِطِيُّ وَهُوَ مُحْتَمَلٌ لَكِنْ لَمْ نَجِدْ لِلْوَاسِطِيِّ رِوَايَةً عَنْ غُنْدَرٍ بِخِلَاف الْبَلْخِيِّ , وَقَدْ تَقَدَّمَ عَنْهُ بِمَوْضِعٍ آخَرَ فِي الْمَوَاقِيتِ وَهَذَا جَمِيعُ مَا أَخْرَجَ عَنْهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ. قَوْلُهُ : ( اِسْمَعْ وَأَطِعْ ) تَقَدَّمَ الْكَلَامُ عَلَيْهِ قَبْلُ بِبَابٍ. قَالَ اِبْنُ الْمُنِيرِ : وَجْهُ دُخُولِهِ فِي هَذَا الْبَابِ أَنَّ الصِّفَةَ الْمَذْكُورَةَ إِنَّمَا تُوجَدُ غَالِبًا فِي عَجَمِيٍّ حَدِيثِ عَهْدٍ بِالْإِسْلَامِ لَا يَخْلُو مِنْ جَهْلٍ بِدِينِهِ وَمَا يَخْلُو مَنْ هَذِهِ صِفَتُهُ مِنْ اِرْتِكَابِ الْبِدْعَةِ , وَلَوْ لَمْ يَكُنْ إِلَّا اِفْتِتَانُ…
