حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بِشْرٍ، وَعَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ قَالَ

الْكَوْثَرُ الْخَيْرُ الْكَثِيرُ الَّذِي أَعْطَاهُ اللَّهُ إِيَّاهُ‏.‏

Narrated Ibn `Abbas:

The word 'Al-Kauthar' means the abundant good which Allah gave to him (the Prophet (ﷺ) Muhammad). Abu Bishr said: I said to Sa`id, "Some people claim that it (Al-Kauthar) is a river in Paradise." Sa`id replied, "The river which is in Paradise is one item of that good which Allah has bestowed upon him (Muhammad).

حَدِيث اِبْن عَبَّاس , تَقَدَّمَ شَرْحه فِي تَفْسِير سُورَة الْكَوْثَر وَقَوْله هُنَا " هُشَيْمٌ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بِشْر " هُوَ جَعْفَر بْن أَبِي وَحْشِيَّةَ بِفَتْحِ الْوَاو وَسُكُون الْمُهْمَلَة بَعْدهَا مُعْجَمَةٌ مَكْسُورَةٌ ثُمَّ تَحْتَانِيَّةٌ ثَقِيلَةٌ ثُمَّ هَاءُ تَأْنِيثٍ , وَاسْم أَبِي وَحْشِيَّةَ إِيَاسٌ. قَوْله ( وَعَطَاء بْن السَّائِب ) هُوَ الْمُحَدِّث الْمَشْهُور كُوفِيٌّ مِنْ صِغَار التَّابِعِينَ صَدُوق اِخْتَلَطَ فِي آخِر عُمُرِهِ , وَسَمَاع هُشَيْمٍ مِنْهُ بَعْد اِخْتِلَاطه , وَلِذَلِكَ أَخْرَجَ لَهُ الْبُخَارِيّ مَقْرُونًا بِأَبِي بِشْر , وَمَا لَهُ عِنْده إِلَّا هَذَا الْمَوْضِع , وَقَدْ مَضَى فِي تَفْسِير الْكَوْثَر مِنْ جِهَة هُشَيْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي بِشْر وَحْدَهُ , وَلِعَط…
