حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم

إِذَا أَوَى إِلَى فِرَاشِهِ قَالَ ‏"‏ بِاسْمِكَ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا ‏"‏‏.‏ وَإِذَا قَامَ قَالَ ‏"‏ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ ‏"

Narrated Hudhaifa:

When the Prophet (ﷺ) went to bed, he would say: "Bismika amutu wa ahya." and when he got up he would say:" Al-hamdu li l-lahil-ladhi ahyana ba'da ma amatana wa ilaihin-nushur."

قَوْله ( سُفْيَان ) هُوَ الثَّوْرِيّ , وَعَبْد الْمَلِك هُوَ اِبْن عُمَيْر , وَثَبَتَ فِي رِوَايَة أَبِي ذَرّ وَأَبِي زَيْد الْمَرْوَزِيِّ عَنْ عَبْد الْمَلِك بْن عُمَيْر. قَوْله ( إِذَا أَوَى إِلَى فِرَاشه ) أَيْ دَخَلَ فِيهِ , وَفِي الطَّرِيق الْآتِيَة قَرِيبًا " إِذَا أَخَذَ مَضْجَعه " وَأَوَى بِالْقَصْرِ. وَأَمَّا قَوْله " الْحَمْد لِلَّهِ الَّذِي آوَانَا " فَهُوَ بِالْمَدِّ وَيَجُوز فِيهِ الْقَصْر , وَالضَّابِط فِي هَذِهِ اللَّفْظَة أَنَّهَا مَعَ اللُّزُوم تُمَدّ فِي الْأَفْصَح وَيَجُوز الْقَصْر , وَفِي التَّعَدِّي بِالْعَكْسِ. قَوْله ( بِاسْمِك أَمُوت وَأَحْيَا ) أَيْ بِذِكْرِ اِسْمك أَحْيَا مَا حَيِيت وَعَلَيْهِ أَمُوت. وَقَالَ الْقُرْطُبِيّ : قَوْله " بِاسْمِك أَمُوت " يَدُلّ عَلَى أ…
