Narrator:Ā’ishah

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَامِرٌ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ عَنِ الْخِيَرَةِ،، فَقَالَتْ

خَيَّرَنَا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَفَكَانَ طَلاَقًا

Narrated Masruq:

I asked `Aisha about the option: She said, "The Prophet (ﷺ) gave us the option. Do you think that option was considered as a divorce?" I said, "It matters little to me if I give my wife the option once or a hundred times after she has chosen me."

Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani — Fath al-Bari

قَوْله ( إِسْمَاعِيل ) هُوَ اِبْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ. قَوْله ( سَأَلْت عَائِشَة عَنْ الْخِيَرَة ) بِكَسْرِ الْمُعْجَمَة وَفَتْح التَّحْتَانِيَّة بِمَعْنَى الْخِيَار. قَوْله ( أَفَكَانَ طَلَاقًا ؟ ) هُوَ اِسْتِفْهَامُ إِنْكَارٍ , وَلِأَحْمَد عَنْ وَكِيع عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل " فَهَلْ كَانَ طَلَاقًا ؟ " وَكَذَا لِلنَّسَائِيِّ مِنْ رِوَايَة يَحْيَى الْقَطَّان عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل. قَوْله ( قَالَ مَسْرُوق : لَا أُبَالِي أَخَيَّرْتهَا وَاحِدَة أَوْ مِائَة بَعْد أَنْ تَخْتَارنِي ) هُوَ مَوْصُول بِالْإِسْنَادِ الْمَذْكُور , وَقَدْ أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِم مِنْ رِوَايَة عَلِيّ بْن مُسْهِر عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيل فَقَدَّمَ كَلَام مَسْرُوق الْمَذْكُور وَلَفْظه عَنْ مَسْرُوق " قَالَ مَا أُبَالِي " فَذَكَرَ مِثْله وَزَادَ " أَوْ…
