Narrator:Al-Barā' ibn ‘Āzib

وَزَادَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ عَنِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ قُرَيْظَةَ لِحَسَّانَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ ‏"‏ اهْجُ الْمُشْرِكِينَ، فَإِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ مَعَكَ ‏"‏‏.‏

Al-Bara' bin `Azib said (through another chain of sub-narrators):

"On the day of Quraiza's (siege), Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said to Hassan bin Thabit, 'Abuse them (with your poems), and Jibril is with you.'"

Reported by Al-Bukhari (No. 4124, 3213, 4123), Muslim (No. 2486a, 2486b) and Ahmad (No. 17942).

Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani — Fath al-Bari

قَوْله : ( عَدِيٌّ ) هُوَ اِبْن ثَابِت. قَوْله : ( اُهْجُهُمْ أَوْ هَاجِهِمْ ) بِالشَّكِّ , وَالثَّانِي أَخَصُّ مِنْ الْأَوَّلِ. قَوْله : ( وَزَادَ إِبْرَاهِيم بْن طَهْمَانَ ) وَصَلَه النَّسَائِيُّ وَإِسْنَاده عَلَى شَرْط الْبُخَارِيّ , وَأَبُو إِسْحَاق هُوَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ وَاسْمه سُلَيْمَان , وَزِيَادَته فِي هَذَا الْحَدِيث مُعَيَّنَة أَنَّ الْأَمْر لَهُ بِذَلِكَ وَقَعَ يَوْم قُرَيْظَة , وَوَقَعَ فِي حَدِيث جَابِر رَضِيَ اللَّه عَنْهُ عِنْد اِبْن مَرْدُوَيهِ " لَمَّا كَانَ يَوْم الْأَحْزَاب وَرَدَّهُمْ اللَّهُ بِغَيْظِهِمْ قَالَ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَنْ يَحْمِي أَعْرَاض الْمُسْلِمِينَ ؟ فَقَامَ كَعْب وَابْن رَوَاحَة وَحَسَّان , فَقَالَ لِحَسَّانَ : اُهْجُهُمْ أَنْت…
