حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ، يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم

أَحْسَنَ النَّاسِ وَجْهًا وَأَحْسَنَهُ خَلْقًا، لَيْسَ بِالطَّوِيلِ الْبَائِنِ وَلاَ بِالْقَصِيرِ‏.‏

Narrated Al-Bara:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) was the handsomest of all the people, and had the best appearance. He was neither very tall nor short.

Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani — Fath al-Bari

حَدِيث الْبَرَاء. قَوْله : ( حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيم بْن يُوسُف ) أَيْ اِبْن إِسْحَاق بْن أَبِي إِسْحَاق السَّبِيعِيّ. قَوْله : ( وَأَحْسَنه خَلْقًا ) بِفَتْحِ الْمُعْجَمَة لِلْأَكْثَرِ , وَضَبَطَهُ اِبْن التِّين بِضَمِّ أَوَّله وَاسْتَشْهَدَ بِقَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى : ( وَإِنَّك لِعَلَى خُلُق عَظِيم ) وَوَقَعَ فِي رِوَايَة الْإِسْمَاعِيلِيّ بِالشَّكِّ " وَأَحْسَنه خَلْقًا أَوْ خُلُقًا " وَيُؤَيِّدهُ قَوْله قَبْله " أَحْسَن النَّاس وَجْهًا " فَإِنَّ فِيهِ إِشَارَة إِلَى الْحُسْن الْحِسِّيّ , فَيَكُون فِي الثَّانِي إِشَارَة إِلَى الْحُسْن الْمَعْنَوِيّ. وَقَدْ وَقَعَ فِي حَدِيث أَنَس الَّذِي يَتَعَلَّق بِفَرَسِ أَبِي طَلْحَة الَّذِي قَالَ فِيهِ : " إِنْ وَجَدْنَاهُ لَبَحْرًا " وَهُوَ عِنْده فِي مَو…

The Prophet (ﷺ) had big hands, and I have never seen anybody like him after him. The hair of the Prophet was wavy, neither curly nor straight.
