حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا غُنْدَرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ ذَرٍّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ قَالَ عَمَّارٌ

فَضَرَبَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِيَدِهِ الأَرْضَ، فَمَسَحَ وَجْهَهُ وَكَفَّيْهِ‏.‏

Narrated `Ammar:

The Prophet (ﷺ) stroked the earth with his hands and then passed them over his face and the backs of his hands (while demonstrating Tayammum).

Explanation in Arabic

التَّيمُّمُ رُخصةٌ شَرَعها اللهُ تعالى لعِبادِه عندَ فَقْدِ الماءِ، أوِ العجزِ عن استِعمالِه؛ تيسيرًا عليهم، فهو يَرفَعُ الحَدَثَ، ومُبيحٌ لِفعلِ الصَّلاةِ وغَيرِها مِن العِباداتِ.وفي هذا الحديثِ يَرْوي التابعيُّ عبدُ الرَّحمنِ بنُ أَبْزَى أنَّه جاء رجُلٌ مِن أهلِ الباديةِ -كما في روايةِ عبدِ الرَّزَّاقِ- إلى عُمرَ بنِ الخَطَّابِ رَضيَ اللهُ عنه، فأخبَرَه أنَّه صار جُنبًا، ولكنَّه لم يَجِدِ الماءَ ليَغتسِلَ مِن الجَنابةِ، وذلك أنَّ الجَنابةَ تُطلَقُ على كلِّ مَن أَنزَل المنِيَّ أو جامَعَ، وسُمِّيَ الجُنُبُ بذلك؛ لاجتِنابِه الصَّلاةَ والعباداتِ حتَّى يَطَّهَّرَ منها.وقدْ ورَدَ جَوابُ عُمرَ رَضيَ اللهُ عنه في روايةٍ عندَ مُسلمٍ، فقال: «لا تُصَلِّ»، فنَهاهُ عن الصَّلاةِ حتَّى يَجِدَ الماءَ، وفي لفظِ أبي داودَ: «أمَّا أنا فلَمْ أكُنْ أُصلِّي حتَّى أجِدَ الماءَ»، فكأنَّ رأيَ عُمرَ أنَّه لا يُصلِّي حتَّى يَجِدَ الماءَ فيَتطهَّرَ ثمَّ يُصلِّي، وهنا ذكَرَ عَمَّارُ بنُ ياسِرٍ لِعُمرَ بنِ الخَطَّابِ رَضيَ اللهُ عنهما الواقعةَ الَّتي حدثَتْ معهما؛ فقال: «يا أَميرَ المُؤمنينَ، أمَا تَذكُرُ أنَّا كُنَّا في سَفَرٍ أنا وأنتَ»، ولمسلمٍ: «فأَجْنَبْنا» فأصابَتْهمُ الجَنابةُ وهُما في السَّفرِ، ولم يَجِدَا الماءَ، فأمَّا عُمرُ رَضيَ اللهُ عنه فامتنَع عن الصَّلاةِ؛ وذلك لأنَّه كان يَتوقَّعُ الوُصولَ إلى الماءِ قبْلَ خُروجِ الوقتِ، أو لِاعتِقادِ أنَّ التَّيمُّمَ عن الحَدَثِ الأصغرِ لا الأكبَرِ، وأمَّا عمَّارٌ رَضيَ اللهُ عنه فقاسَ الحدَثَ الأكبَرَ على الحدَثِ الأصغَرِ؛ ولذلك تَمرَّغ في التُّرابِ وتَقلَّب فيه ليُزيلَ عنه الحدَثَ الأكبَرَ، كأنَّه لمَّا رأى أنَّ التَّيمُّمَ إذا وَقَع بَدَلَ الوُضوءِ وَقَعَ على هَيئةِ الوُضوءِ، رأى أنَّ التَّيمُّمَ عن الغُسلِ يَقَعُ على هَيئةِ الغُسلِ، ثمَّ باشَر الصَّلاةَ على ذلك، ولَمَّا رجَع إلى المدينةِ ذكَرَ ذلك للنبيِّ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ، فقال صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ: إنَّما كان يَكفيكَ هكَذا، فضَرَب النبيُّ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ بكَفَّيْه الأرضَ، ونَفَخَ فيهما نَفخًا؛ تَخفيفًا للتُّرابِ، ثمَّ مسَحَ بهما وجْهَه وكفَّيْه؛ فأعْلَمَه كَيفيَّةَ التيمُّمِ، وأنَّه للجَنابةِ والحدَثِ سَواءٌ.وفي الحديثِ: وُقوعُ اجتِهادِ الصَّحابةِ في زمنِ النبيِّ صلَّى اللهُ عليه وسلَّمَ.وفيه: دليلٌ على صحَّةِ القِياسِ.
