Narrator:Abdullah ibn Amr

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ حَسَّانَ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِي كَبْشَةَ السَّلُولِيِّ، سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ يَقُولُ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏

أَرْبَعُونَ خَصْلَةً أَعْلاَهُنَّ مَنِيحَةُ الْعَنْزِ، مَا مِنْ عَامِلٍ يَعْمَلُ بِخَصْلَةٍ مِنْهَا رَجَاءَ ثَوَابِهَا وَتَصْدِيقَ مَوْعُودِهَا إِلاَّ أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا الْجَنَّةَ ‏"

Narrated `Abdullah bin `Amr:

That Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "There are forty virtuous deeds and the best of them is the Maniha of a shegoat, and anyone who does one of these virtuous deeds hoping for Allah's reward with firm confidence that he will get it, then Allah will make him enter Paradise because of Hassan (a subnarrator) said, "We tried to count those good deeds below the Maniha; we mentioned replying to the sneezer, removing harmful things from the road, etc., but we failed to count even fifteen."

قَوْلُهُ : ( عَنْ حَسَّان بْن عَطِيَّة ) فِي رِوَايَةِ أَحْمَدَ عَنْ اَلْوَلِيدِ " حَدَّثَنَا اَلْأَوْزَاعِيّ حَدَّثَنَا حَسَّان بْن عَطِيَّة ". قَوْلُهُ : ( عَنْ أَبِي كَبْشَةَ ) فِي رِوَايَةِ أَحْمَدَ اَلْمَذْكُورَةِ " حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو كَبْشَة " وَهُوَ بِفَتْحِ اَلْكَافِ وَسُكُونِ الْمُوَحَّدَةِ بَعْدَهَا مُعْجَمَة ) ( السَّلُولِيّ ) بِفَتْحِ الْمُهْمَلَة وَتَخْفِيف اَللَّام اَلْمَضْمُومَة بَعْدَهَا وَاو سَاكِنَة ثُمَّ لَامٌ لَا يُعْرَفُ اِسْمُهُ وَزَعَمَ اَلْحَاكِمُ أَنَّ اِسْمَهُ اَلْبَرَاء بْن قَيْس , وَوَهَمَهُ عَبْد اَلْغَنِيّ بْن سَعِيد وَبَيَّنَ أَنَّهُ غَيْرُهُ وَلَيْسَ لِأَبِي كَبْشَةَ وَلَا لِلرَّاوِي عَنْهُ حَسَّانِ بْن عَطِيَّة فِي اَلْبُخَارِيِّ سِوَى هَذَا اَلْحَدِيثِ وَآخَر…

أَرْبَعُونَ خَصْلَةً أَعْلاَهُنَّ مَنِيحَةُ الْعَنْزِ مَا يَعْمَلُ رَجُلٌ بِخَصْلَةٍ مِنْهَا رَجَاءَ ثَوَابِهَا وَتَصْدِيقَ مَوْعُودِهَا إِلاَّ أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ بِهَا الْجَنَّةَ ‏"

There are forty good qualities, the best of which is the lending of a milch goat. Anyone carries out any of these virtuous deeds seeking its reward (from Allah) with firm confidence that he will receive it, Allah will admit him to Paradise

the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "There are forty kinds of virtue, the highest of which is to gift a (milch) she goat. He who practises any of these virtues, expecting its reward (from Allah) and believing on the verity of the promise made for it, will enter Jannah." [Al-Bukhari].
