Narrator:Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، قَالَ

وَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ ـ رضى الله عنهما ـ يُصَلِّي عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ وَيُوتِرُ عَلَيْهَا، وَيُخْبِرُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَفْعَلُهُ‏.‏

Narrated Nafi`:

Ibn `Umar (while on a journey) used to offer the prayer and the witr on his mount (Rahila). He said that the Prophet (ﷺ) used to do so.

Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani — Fath al-Bari

قَوْله : ( كَانَ اِبْن عُمَر يُصَلِّي عَلَى رَاحِلَته ) يَعْنِي فِي السَّفَر , وَصَرَّحَ بِهِ فِي حَدِيث الْبَاب الَّذِي بَعْده. قَوْله : ( وَيُوتِر عَلَيْهَا ) لَا يُعَارِض مَا رَوَاهُ أَحْمَد بِإِسْنَادٍ صَحِيح عَنْ سَعِيد بْن جُبَيْر " أَنَّ اِبْن عُمَر كَانَ يُصَلِّي عَلَى الرَّاحِلَة تَطَوُّعًا , فَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يُوتِر نَزَلَ فَأَوْتَرَ عَلَى الْأَرْض " لِأَنَّهُ مَحْمُول عَلَى أَنَّهُ فَعَلَ كُلًّا مِنْ الْأَمْرَيْنِ , وَيُؤَيِّد رِوَايَة الْبَاب مَا تَقَدَّمَ فِي أَبْوَاب الْوِتْر أَنَّهُ أَنْكَرَ عَلَى سَعِيد بْن يَسَار نُزُوله الْأَرْض لِيُوتِر , وَإِنَّمَا أَنْكَرَ عَلَيْهِ - مَعَ كَوْنه كَانَ يَفْعَلهُ - لِأَنَّهُ أَرَادَ أَنْ يُبَيِّن لَهُ أَنَّ النُّزُول بِحَتْمٍ , وَيُحْتَ…
