حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، وَسُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏ أُمِرْتُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ حَمَّادٌ أُمِرَ نَبِيُّكُمْ صلى الله عليه وسلم -

أَنْ يَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةٍ وَلاَ يَكُفَّ شَعْرًا وَلاَ ثَوْبًا ‏.‏

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas:

Ibn Abbas reported the Prophet (ﷺ) as saying: I have been commanded - according to the version of Hammad: Your Prophet (ﷺ) was commanded - to prostrate on seven (bones), and not to fold back the hair or the clothing.

( أُمِرَ ) : قَالَ الْحَافِظ هُوَ بِضَمِّ الْهَمْزَة فِي جَمِيع الرِّوَايَات عَلَى الْبِنَاء لِمَا لَمْ يُسَمَّ فَاعِله وَهُوَ اللَّه جَلَّ جَلَاله. قَالَ الْبَيْضَاوِيّ : عُرِفَ ذَلِكَ بِالْعُرْفِ وَذَلِكَ يَقْتَضِي الْوُجُوب. قِيلَ : وَفِيهِ نَظَر لِأَنَّهُ لَيْسَ فِيهِ صِيغَة أَفْعَل. اِنْتَهَى. وَتَعَقَّبَ عَلَيْهِ الشَّوْكَانِيُّ حَيْثُ قَالَ لَفْظ أُمِرَ أَدَلّ عَلَى الْمَطْلُوب مِنْ صِيغَة أَفْعَل كَمَا تَقَرَّرَ فِي الْأُصُول اِنْتَهَى. وَفِي رِوَايَة لِلْبُخَارِيِّ مِنْ طَرِيق شُعْبَة عَنْ عَمْرو بْن دِينَار عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ اِبْن عَبَّاس بِلَفْظِ أُمِرْنَا ( عَلَى سَبْعَة ) : أَيْ عَلَى سَبْعَة أَعْضَاء وَيَجِيء بَيَانهَا ( وَلَا يَكُفَّ شَعْرًا وَلَا ثَوْبًا ) : هُوَ إِمَّا بِمَع…

Authentic Muttafaq ‘alayh (Bukhari and Muslim) Sahih al-Bukhari 809

The Prophet (ﷺ) was ordered (by Allah) to prostrate on seven parts and not to tuck up the clothes or hair (while praying). Those parts are: the forehead (along with the tip of nose), both hands, both knees, and (toes of) both feet.

يَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْضَاءٍ، وَلاَ يَكُفَّ شَعَرًا وَلاَ ثَوْبًا الْجَبْهَةِ وَالْيَدَيْنِ وَالرُّكْبَتَيْنِ وَالرِّجْلَيْنِ‏.‏

"I have been commanded to prostrate on seven bones: the forehead (and he pointed to his nose), the hands, the knees, and the extremities of the feet, and not to tuck up the clothes and hair."

أَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةِ أَعْظُمٍ عَلَى الْجَبْهَةِ ـ وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ عَلَى أَنْفِهِ ـ وَالْيَدَيْنِ، وَالرُّكْبَتَيْنِ وَأَطْرَافِ الْقَدَمَيْنِ، وَلاَ نَكْفِتَ الثِّيَابَ وَالشَّعَرَ ‏"

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "I have been commanded to prostrate on seven, and not to tuck up my hair nor my garment: the forehead, the nose, the hands, the knees and the feet."

"‏ أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أَسْجُدَ عَلَى سَبْعَةٍ - لاَ أَكُفَّ الشَّعْرَ وَلاَ الثِّيَابَ - الْجَبْهَةِ وَالأَنْفِ وَالْيَدَيْنِ وَالرُّكْبَتَيْنِ وَالْقَدَمَيْنِ ‏"
