حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي عَقِيلٍ، عَنْ سَابِقِ بْنِ نَاجِيَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلاَّمٍ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ فِي مَسْجِدِ حِمْصٍ فَمَرَّ بِهِ رَجُلٌ فَقَالُوا هَذَا خَدَمَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقَامَ إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ حَدِّثْنِي بِحَدِيثٍ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَمْ يَتَدَاوَلْهُ بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ الرِّجَالُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ ‏"‏

مَنْ قَالَ إِذَا أَصْبَحَ وَإِذَا أَمْسَى رَضِينَا بِاللَّهِ رَبًّا وَبِالإِسْلاَمِ دِينًا وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ رَسُولاً إِلاَّ كَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يُرْضِيَهُ ‏"

Narrated A man:

AbuSallam told that he was in the mosque of Hims. A man passed him and the people said about him that he served the Prophet (ﷺ).

He (AbuSallam) went to him and said: Tell me any tradition which you heard from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and there were no man between him and you. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say: If anyone says in the morning and in the evening: "I am pleased with Allah as Lord, with Islam as religion, with Muhammad as Prophet," Allah will certainly please him.

( عَنْ أَبِي عَقِيل ) : بِفَتْحِ الْعَيْن وَاسْمه هِشَام بْن بِلَال ( عَنْ أَبِي سَلَّامٍ ) : بِتَشْدِيدِ اللَّام هُوَ مَمْطُور الْحَبَشِيّ ( أَنَّهُ ) : أَيْ أَبُو سَلَّامٍ ( كَانَ فِي مَسْجِد حِمْص ) : بِكَسْرِ الْمُهْمَلَة وَسُكُون الْمِيم كَوْرَةٌ بِالشَّامِ ( فَقَالُوا هَذَا ) : أَيْ الرَّجُل ( خُدِمَ ) : صِيغَة الْمَاضِي الْمَعْلُوم ( فَقَامَ ) : أَيْ أَبُو سَلَّامٍ ( إِلَيْهِ ) : أَيْ إِلَى الرَّجُل ( فَقَالَ ) : أَيْ أَبُو سَلَّامٍ ( لَمْ يَتَدَاوَلهُ بَيْنك وَبَيْنه الرِّجَال ) : فِي الصُّرَاح : تَدَاوَلَتْهُ الْأَيْدِي أَخَذَتْهُ هَذِهِ مَرَّة وَهَذِهِ مَرَّة , وَالْمَعْنَى لَمْ يَكُنْ بَيْنك وَبَيْنه صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاسِطَة الرِّجَال ( رَضِينَا بِاَللَّهِ رَبًّا…

Thauban reported God’s messenger as saying that if any Muslim says three times evening and morning, "I am pleased with God as Lord, with Islam as religion, and with Muhammad as Prophet," God will certainly please him on the day of resurrection. Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it.

Whoever says: Radītu billāhi rabban, wa bil-Islāmi dīnan, wa bi Muhammadin rasūla (I am pleased with Allah as a Lord, with Islam as a religion, with Muhammad as a Messenger), Paradise is guaranteed for him
