حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ شُفْعَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ، قَالَ رَآنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم - قَالَ أَبُو عَلِيٍّ اللُّؤْلُؤِيُّ أُرَاهُ - وَعَلَىَّ ثَوْبٌ مَصْبُوغٌ بِعُصْفُرٍ مُوَرَّدٍ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ مَا هَذَا ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَانْطَلَقْتُ فَأَحْرَقْتُهُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏"‏

مَا صَنَعْتَ بِثَوْبِكَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَقُلْتُ أَحْرَقْتُهُ ‏.‏ قَالَ ‏"‏ أَفَلاَ كَسَوْتَهُ بَعْضَ أَهْلِكَ ‏"‏ ‏.‏

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-'As:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saw me. The version of AbuAli al-Lula' has: I think I wore a garment dyed with a reddish yellow colour. He asked: What is this? So I went and burnt it. The Prophet (ﷺ) said: What have you done with your garment? I replied: I burnt it. He said: Why did you not give it to one of your women to wear?

Abu Dawud said: Thawr transmitted it from Khalid and said: "Pink (muwarrad)" while Tawus said: "Reddish yellow colour (mu'asfar)".

Reported by Abu Dawud (No. 4068).

( عَنْ شُفْعَة ) : بِضَمِّ أَوَّله السَّهْمِيّ الْحِمْصِيّ عَنْ عَبْد اللَّه بْن عَمْرو وَعَنْهُ شُرَحْبِيل بْن مُسْلِم وَثَّقَهُ اِبْن حِبَّان كَذَا فِي الْخُلَاصَة ( قَالَ أَبُو عَلِيّ اللُّؤْلُؤِيّ ) : هُوَ صَاحِب أَبِي دَاوُدَ الْمُؤَلِّف ( أُرَاهُ ) : بِضَمِّ الْهَمْزَة أَيْ أَظُنّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ ( مُوَرَّدًا ) : بِتَشْدِيدِ الرَّاء الْمَفْتُوحَة. قَالَ التُّورْبَشْتِيُّ : أَيْ صِبْغًا مُوَرَّدًا أَقَامَ الْوَصْف مَقَام الْمَصْدَر الْمَوْصُوف , وَالْمُوَرَّد مَا صُبِغَ عَلَى لَوْن الْوَرْد اِنْتَهَى. ذَكَرَهُ الْقَارِي , وَيُحْتَمَل أَنْ يَكُون حَالًا مِنْ الضَّمِير فِي مَصْبُوغ ( أَفَلَا كَسَوْته بَعْض أَهْلِك ) : يَعْنِي زَوْجَته أَوْ بَعْض نِسَاء مَحَارِمه وَأَقَارِبه.
