حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مَعِينٍ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصٌ، عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم

يُضَحِّي بِكَبْشٍ أَقْرَنَ فَحِيلٍ يَنْظُرُ فِي سَوَادٍ وَيَأْكُلُ فِي سَوَادٍ وَيَمْشِي فِي سَوَادٍ

Narrated AbuSa'id al-Khudri:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to sacrifice a choice, horned ram with black round the eyes, the mouth and the feet.

Al-Azimabadi — Awn al-Ma'bud

( فَحِيل ) : بِوَزْنِ كَرِيم. قَالَ الْخَطَّابِيُّ : هُوَ الْكَرِيم الْمُخْتَار لِلْفَحْلَةِ , وَأَمَّا الْفَحْل فَهُوَ عَامّ فِي الذُّكُورَة مِنْهَا وَقَالُوا فِي ذُكُورَة الْفَحْل فِحَال فَرْقًا بَيْنه وَبَيْن سَائِر الْفُحُول مِنْ الْحَيَوَان اِنْتَهَى. قَالَ فِي النَّيْل : فِيهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ضَحَّى بِالْفَحِيلِ كَمَا ضَحَّى بِالْخَصِيِّ ( يَنْظُر فِي سَوَاد إِلَخْ ) : مَعْنَاهُ أَنَّ مَا حَوْل عَيْنَيْهِ وَقَوَائِمه وَفَمه أَسْوَد. قَالَ الْمُنْذِرِيُّ : وَأَخْرَجَهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ وَابْن مَاجَهْ وَقَالَ التِّرْمِذِيّ : حَسَن صَحِيح لَا نَعْرِفهُ إِلَّا مِنْ حَدِيث حَفْص بْن غِيَاث.…

Authentic Sahih al-Bukhari 5558

The Prophet (ﷺ) slaughtered two rams, black and white in color (as sacrifices), and I saw him putting his foot on their sides and mentioning Allah's Name and Takbir (Allahu Akbar). Then he slaughtered them with his own hands.

ضَحَّى النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِكَبْشَيْنِ أَمْلَحَيْنِ، فَرَأَيْتُهُ وَاضِعًا قَدَمَهُ عَلَى صِفَاحِهِمَا يُسَمِّي وَيُكَبِّرُ، فَذَبَحَهُمَا بِيَدِهِ‏.‏
