حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ - ابْنِ أَبِي عَتَّابٍ، أَوْ غَيْرِهِ - عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم

إِذَا صَلَّى رَكْعَتَىِ الْفَجْرِ فَإِنْ كُنْتُ نَائِمَةً اضْطَجَعَ وَإِنْ كُنْتُ مُسْتَيْقِظَةً حَدَّثَنِي ‏.‏

Narrated Aisha, Ummul Mu'minin:

When the Prophet (ﷺ) prayed the two rak'ahs of the dawn prayer, he would lie down if I was asleep; in case I was awake, he would talk to me.

( عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ ) : فَاعِل حَيْثُ زِيَاد بْن سَعْد وَالضَّمِير الْمَنْصُوب يَرْجِع إِلَى مَنْ الْمَوْصُولَة ( اِبْن أَبِي عَتَّاب ) : بَدَل مِنْ مَنْ الْمَوْصُولَة وَاسْمه زَيْد أَوْ عَبْد الرَّحْمَن قَالَهُ الْمِزِّيّ ( أَوْ غَيْره ) : أَيْ غَيْر اِبْن أَبِي عَتَّاب , فَالشَّيْخ لِزِيَادِ بْن سَعْد مَجْهُول لَا يُدْرَى هُوَ اِبْن أَبِي عَتَّاب أَوْ غَيْره ( فَإِنْ كُنْت نَائِمَة اِضْطَجَعَ ) : هَذَا مَحْمُول عَلَى اِخْتِلَاف الْأَوْقَات ( وَإِنْ كُنْت مُسْتَيْقِظَة حَدَّثَنِي ) : قَالَ اِبْن الْمَلِك : فِيهِ دَلِيل عَلَى أَنَّ الْفَصْل بَيْن سُنَّة الصُّبْح وَبَيْن الْفَرِيضَة جَائِز , وَعَلَى أَنَّ الْحَدِيث مَعَ الْأَهْل سُنَّة يَعْنِي مَنْ قَالَ إِنَّ الْكَلَام بَيْن السُّنَّة وَالْف…

After offering the Sunna of the Fajr prayer, the Prophet (ﷺ) used to talk to me, if I happen to be awake; otherwise he would lie down till the Iqama call was proclaimed (for the Fajr prayer).

إِذَا صَلَّى ‏{‏سُنَّةَ الْفَجْرِ‏}‏ فَإِنْ كُنْتُ مُسْتَيْقِظَةً حَدَّثَنِي وَإِلاَّ اضْطَجَعَ حَتَّى يُؤْذَنَ بِالصَّلاَةِ‏.‏

She said, “When the Prophet prayed the two rak'as of the dawn prayer, he would talk to me if I was awake, otherwise he would lie down.” Muslim transmitted it.

وَعَنْهَا قَالَتْ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا صَلَّى رَكْعَتَيِ الْفَجْرِ فَإِنْ كُنْتُ مستيقظة حَدثنِي وَإِلَّا اضْطجع. رَوَاهُ مُسلم
