Humble weeping is presented here as a trait of the prophets and the righteous elect, who fall down in prostration and weeping when the verses of the Most Merciful are recited to them. The verses also mention the deceitful tears of Joseph’s brothers, who came to their father at night, and the heedless, who should weep much rather than laugh, in recompense for their deeds.
Verses gathered from a topical index of the Quran, in Mushaf order; every verse is quoted in full.

Say, "The fire of Hell is more intense in heat" - if they would but understand.
