Iblis, Satan the accursed, appears here as an open enemy of mankind: the verses warn against his temptation and against following his footsteps. They describe his whisperings, his attacks on the prophets and the names he bears, and identify Satan’s party and allies, among them those heedless of the remembrance of Allah and those who associate others with Him.
Verses gathered from a topical index of the Quran, in Mushaf order; every verse is quoted in full.
[Remember] when He overwhelmed you with drowsiness [giving] security from Him and sent down upon you from the sky, rain by which to purify you and remove from you the evil [suggestions] of Satan and to make steadfast your hearts and plant firmly thereby your feet.
And incite [to senselessness] whoever you can among them with your voice and assault them with your horses and foot soldiers and become a partner in their wealth and their children and promise them." But Satan does not promise them except delusion.
