The Reckoning is inevitable and no one will suffer the slightest injustice in it: that is what the verses gathered here affirm. They recall that Allah is swift in account and sufficient as Reckoner, speak of the record each person is given and of those whose reckoning will be severe, and show how Allah taught man to count the days in this world.
Verses gathered from a topical index of the Quran, in Mushaf order; every verse is quoted in full.
For those who have responded to their Lord is the best [reward], but those who did not respond to Him - if they had all that is in the earth entirely and the like of it with it, they would [attempt to] ransom themselves thereby. Those will have the worst account, and their refuge is Hell, and wretched is the resting place.
[We said], "O David, indeed We have made you a successor upon the earth, so judge between the people in truth and do not follow [your own] desire, as it will lead you astray from the way of Allāh." Indeed, those who go astray from the way of Allāh will have a severe punishment for having forgotten the Day of Account.
