Created from fire, the jinn do not know the unseen any more than humans do, and like humans they cannot produce anything like the Quran. These verses mention the jinn made subject to Solomon and their extraordinary abilities, by Allah’s permission, the worship some associators gave them, and their reckoning on the Day of Resurrection.

قُل لَّئِنِ ٱجْتَمَعَتِ ٱلْإِنسُ وَٱلْجِنُّ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يَأْتُوا۟ بِمِثْلِ هَٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ لَا يَأْتُونَ بِمِثْلِهِۦ وَلَوْ كَانَ بَعْضُهُمْ لِبَعْضٍ ظَهِيرًا ٨٨
Say, "If mankind and the jinn gathered in order to produce the like of this Qur’ān, they could not produce the like of it, even if they were to each other assistants."
