In the sight of Allah, the religion is Islam, the upright religion of Abraham: these verses affirm it and call on believers to die only as Muslims. They recall that this religion is ease and that there is no compulsion in religion, warn against excess and division, and urge people to gain understanding of the religion and to call others to it.
Verses gathered from a topical index of the Quran, in Mushaf order; every verse is quoted in full.
There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become distinct from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in ṭāghūt and believes in Allāh has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allāh is Hearing and Knowing.
