سورة يوسف، الآية ٩٧
قَالُوا۟ يَٰٓأَبَانَا ٱسْتَغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَآ إِنَّا كُنَّا خَٰطِـِٔينَ ٩٧
qālū yāabānā is'taghfir lanā dhunūbanā innā kunnā khāṭiīna
They said, "O our father, ask for us forgiveness of our sins; indeed, we have been sinners."

The sons apologised to their father Jacob (peace be upon him) for what they had done to Joseph and his brother, and they asked their father to ask Allah to forgive the sins they had committed in the past, saying that they had been sinners and wrongdoers in what they did to Joseph and his full brother.
They said, “O our father, pray to Allah to forgive us our sins; we were certainly mistaken.”
They said: "O our father! Ask Forgiveness (from Allâh) for our sins, indeed we have been sinners."
They said: O our father! Ask forgiveness of our sins for us, for lo! we were sinful.
They said: "O our father! ask for us forgiveness for our sins, for we were truly at fault."
They said: O our father! ask forgiveness of our faults for us, surely we were sinners.
They said, "O our father, ask forgiveness of our guilty (deeds) for us; surely we have been sinners."
