Text of verse 12:95

قَالُوا۟ تَٱللَّهِ إِنَّكَ لَفِى ضَلَٰلِكَ ٱلْقَدِيمِ ۝٩٥

Transliteration

qālū tal-lahi innaka lafī ḍalālika l-qadīmi

Translation

They said, "By Allāh, indeed you are in your [same] old error."

Al-Mukhtasar

The people with him swore by Allah that he was still lost in his previous imaginings concerning Joseph’s importance to him and the possibility of seeing him again.

They said, “By Allah, you are still lost in your old delusion.”

They said: "By Allâh! Certainly, you are in your old error."

(Those around him) said: By Allah, lo! thou art in thine old aberration.

They said: "By Allah! truly thou art in thine old wandering mind."

They said: By Allah, you are most surely in your old error.

They said, "By Allah, surely you are indeed in your old error."
