Tafsir of verse 50
Al-Mukhtasar
And out of My mercy, I gave them much good alongside prophethood. And I established for them good praise which remains on the tongues of people.
We bestowed upon them of Our mercy and blessed them with a highly-esteemed reputation12.
Notes
[12] As part of the prayer, Muslims invoke Allah’s blessings upon Muhammad (ﷺ) and his family and Abraham (ﷺ) and his family, on a daily basis.
And We gave them of Our Mercy (a good provision in plenty), and We granted them honour on the tongues (of all the nations, i.e. everybody remembers them with a good praise).8
Notes
[8] (V.19:50) See the footnote of (V.2:135) and the footnotes (A, B and C) of (V.16:121)
And we gave them of Our mercy, and assigned to them a high and true renown.
And We bestowed of Our Mercy on them, and We granted them lofty honour on the tongue of truth.
And We granted to them of Our mercy, and We left (behind them) a truthful mention of eminence for them.
And We bestowed upon them of Our mercy, and We made for them a tongue of sincerity, most exalted.
