Tafsir of verse 47

Al-Mukhtasar

O Messenger, do not think that Allah, Who promised His messengers victory and the establishment of the religion, has given up on His promise to His messengers. Allah is noble and nothing overcomes His decree. He will strengthen and support His allies whilst reserving severe vengeance for His enemies and the enemies of His Messengers.

Other translations of verse 47

Never think that Allah will fail in His promise to His messengers36. Allah is All-Mighty, Capable of Retribution.

Notes

[36] i.e., that they would be given victory both in this life and in the Hereafter.

So think not that Allâh will fail to keep His Promise to His Messengers. Certainly, Allâh is All-Mighty, All-Able of Retribution.

So think not that Allah will fail to keep His promise to His messengers. Lo! Allah is Mighty, Able to Requite (the wrong).

Never think that Allah would fail his messengers in His promise: for Allah is Exalted in power, - the Lord of Retribution.

Therefore do not think Allah (to be one) failing in His promise to His messengers; surely Allah is Mighty, the Lord of Retribution.

So do definitely not reckon that Allah will fail in His promise to His Messengers; surely Allah is Ever-Mighty, Owner of vengeance.
