Biography of Mohamed Safa

Mohamed Safa, a promising Moroccan Quran reciter

Mohamed Safa is regarded as one of the finest reciters in the Kingdom of Morocco. His beautiful voice and distinctive style have earned him a special place in the hearts of worshippers and listeners who know him, whether closely or from afar, and his audio recordings are very popular, especially online.

His fine recitations and his command of the rules of tarteel in the Moroccan tradition are among the qualities that have enabled him to serve as an imam in a number of Moroccan mosques, most notably the Imam Malik Mosque, where he still leads the prayers today.

Alongside his work as an imam, the reciter Mohamed Safa has taken part in many local and international Quran competitions and events, achieving good results, particularly in the Dubai Holy Quran Competition and the Mohammed VI Holy Quran Competition.

In recognition of his efforts in memorizing and reciting the Book of Allah, the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Publication of the Holy Quran in Morocco recorded the complete murattal Quran in the narration of Warsh from Nafi’ in the voice of the reciter Mohamed Safa, under the supervision of a scientific committee made up of a distinguished group of hafiz and specialists in the rules of recitation and tajweed.
