Majed Ayoub: A Young, Hardworking and Ambitious Islamic Preacher

He came to love Islam and was captivated by its teachings. In it he found peace of mind and spirit, and he wished that the people around him could share the same feeling. He saw many Muslims neglecting the religion of Allah, and it troubled him that so many Westerners knew nothing of this religion and held false ideas and misconceptions about it. Looking for a way to change this, he took to the streets with a simple camera, invited people to Islam and posted preaching videos online, and so began his career in preaching and media. This is the young Saudi preacher Majed Ayoub.

In the prime of his youth, after earning a bachelor’s degree in computer science, and amid the pleasures and temptations of worldly life, Majed Ayoub took upon himself one essential mission and overriding goal: calling people to Allah and making Islam known. Armed at first with nothing but his modest camera, he set out to show young people, Muslims and non-Muslims alike, the importance of this religion. He filmed his preaching outings and posted them on several websites, especially YouTube. The public welcomed his initiative, which met with unprecedented success: thousands watched the videos and shared them with one another on social media.

His success online was no accident. It was the result of hard work and constant effort, which gave him an effective style, tact in conversation and wisdom in choosing the topics he discusses with young people. As a result, he was invited to help prepare and present televised preaching programs on a number of Arab and Islamic satellite channels, most notably the program “Ala Fikra” and the series “Anwar Al-Ard,” along with other works that address the questions and concerns on the minds of today’s young people.
