عَرَضَ عليَّ ربِّي عزَّ وجلَّ لِيَجعَلَ لي بَطحاءَ مكَّةَ ذهبًا، فقلتُ: لا يا رَبِّ، ولكنْ أشبَعُ يومًا وأجوعُ يومًا - أوْ نحوَ ذلكَ -، فإذا جُعْتُ تضرَّعْتُ إليكَ وذكَرْتُكَ، وإذا شبِعْتُ حمِدْتُكَ وشكَرْتُكَ.
