حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم

خَرَجَ بِالنَّاسِ يَسْتَسْقِي فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ جَهَرَ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ فِيهِمَا وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ وَاسْتَسْقَى وَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ ‏

Abbad bin Tamim narrated from his uncle:

"The Messenger of Allah went out with the people to seek rain. So he led them in prayer for two Rak'ah, reciting aloud in them, turning his upper wrap around, raising his hands, requesting rain, and facing the Qiblah."

Al-Mubarakfuri — Tuhfat al-Ahwadhi

قَوْلُهُ : ( عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ ) بْنِ غُزِّيَّةَ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ الْمَازِنِيِّ الْمَدَنِيِّ ثِقَةٌ مِنْ الثَّالِثَةِ , وَقَدْ قِيلَ أَنَّ لَهُ رِوَايَةً ( عَنْ عَمِّهِ ) قَالَ فِي التَّقْرِيبِ : اِسْمُ عَمِّهِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ وَهُوَ أَخُو أَبِيهِ لِأُمِّهِ اِنْتَهَى. تَنْبِيهٌ : اِعْلَمْ أَنَّ عَمَّهُ هُوَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنُ عَاصِمِ بْنُ مَازِنٍ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ لَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ رَبِّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيُّ الْخَزْرَجِيُّ الَّذِي رَأَى الْأَذَانَ فِي الْمَنَامِ. وَهُمَا مُخْتَلِفَانِ وَمَنْ ظَنَّهُمَا وَاحِدًا فَقَدْ غَلِطَ وَأَخْطَأَ. قَوْلُهُ : ( خَرَجَ بِالنَّاسِ ) , أَيْ إِلَى الْمُصَلَّى كَمَا فِي رِوَايَةِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ…

Authentic Sunan Abu Dawud 1161

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) took the people out (to the place of prayer) and prayed for rain. He led them in two rak'ahs of prayer in the course of which he recited from the Qur'an in a loud voice. He turned around his cloak and raised his hands, prayed for rain and faced the qiblah

خَرَجَ بِالنَّاسِ لِيَسْتَسْقِيَ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ جَهَرَ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ فِيهِمَا وَحَوَّلَ رِدَاءَهُ وَرَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ فَدَعَا وَاسْتَسْقَى وَاسْتَقْبَلَ الْقِبْلَةَ ‏.‏

Abd Allah b. Zaid al Mazini said: The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) went out to the place of prayer and made supplication or rain, and turned around his cloak when the faced the qiblah.
