حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو السَّائِبِ، سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏

"‏ خَيْرُ الأَنْصَارِ بَنُو عَبْدِ الأَشْهَلِ ‏"

Narrated Jabir [bin 'Abdullah]:

that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The best of the Ansar are Banu 'Abdul-Ashhal."
