حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلاَنَ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏

"‏ إِذَا انْتَهَى أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى مَجْلِسٍ فَلْيُسَلِّمْ فَإِنْ بَدَا لَهُ أَنْ يَجْلِسَ فَلْيَجْلِسْ ثُمَّ إِذَا قَامَ فَلْيُسَلِّمْ فَلَيْسَتِ الأُولَى بِأَحَقَّ مِنَ الآخِرَةِ ‏"

Narrated Abu Hurairah:

that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "When one of you arrives at the gathering, then give the Salam, and if he is given a place to sit, then let him sit. Then when he stands, let him give the Salam, the first is more worthy than the last."

Al-Mubarakfuri — Tuhfat al-Ahwadhi

قَوْلُهُ : ( إِذَا اِنْتَهَى ) أَيْ جَاءَ وَوَصَلَ ( فَإِنْ بَدَا ) بِالْأَلِفِ أَيْ ظَهَرَ ( ثُمَّ إِذَا قَامَ ) أَيْ بَعْدَ أَنْ يَجْلِسَ وَالظَّاهِرُ أَنَّ الْمُرَادَ بِهِ أَنَّهُ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنْصَرِفَ وَلَوْ لَمْ يَجْلِسْ ( فَلَيْسَتْ الْأُولَى ) أَيْ التَّسْلِيمَةُ الْأُولَى ( بِأَحَقَّ ) أَيْ بِأَوْلَى وَأَلْيَقَ ( مِنْ الْآخِرَةِ ) قَالَ الطِّيبِيُّ : أَيْ كَمَا أَنَّ التَّسْلِيمَةَ الْأُولَى إِخْبَارٌ عَنْ سَلَامَتِهِمْ مِنْ شَرِّهِ عِنْدَ الْحُضُورِ فَكَذَلِكَ الثَّانِيَةُ إِخْبَارٌ عَنْ سَلَامَتِهِمْ مِنْ شَرِّهِ عِنْدَ الْغَيْبَةِ , وَلَيْسَتْ السَّلَامَةُ عِنْدَ الْحُضُورِ أَوْلَى مِنْ السَّلَامَةِ عِنْدَ الْغَيْبَةِ بَلْ الثَّانِيَةُ أَوْلَى اِنْتَهَى. قَالَ النَّوَوِيُّ…
