Narrator:Abdullāh ibn ‘Umar

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم

أَمَرَ بِقَتْلِ الْكِلاَبِ إِلاَّ كَلْبَ صَيْدٍ أَوْ كَلْبَ مَاشِيَةٍ ‏.‏

Narrated Ibn 'Umar:

"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ordered killing dogs, except for the hunting dog, or the dog that guards livestock." It was said to him: "Abu Hurairah would say: 'or a farm dog' so he (Ibn 'Umar) said: "Abu Hurairah had a farm."

Al-Mubarakfuri — Tuhfat al-Ahwadhi

قَوْلُهُ : ( فَقَالَ إِنَّ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ لَهُ زَرْعٌ ) أَرَادَ اِبْنُ عُمَرَ بِذَلِكَ أَنَّ سَبَبَ حِفْظِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ لِهَذِهِ الزِّيَادَةِ أَنَّهُ صَاحِبُ زَرْعٍ دُونَهُ , وَمَنْ كَانَ مُشْتَغِلًا بِشَيْءٍ اِحْتَاجَ إِلَى تَعَرُّفِ أَحْكَامِهِ وَهَذَا هُوَ الَّذِي يَنْبَغِي حَمْلُ الْكَلَامِ عَلَيْهِ. وَفِي صَحِيحِ مُسْلِمٍ قَالَ سَالِمٌ : وَكَانَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ أَوْ كَلْبَ حَرْثٍ وَكَانَ صَاحِبَ حَرْثٍ , وَقَدْ وَافَقَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ عَلَى ذِكْرِ الزَّرْعِ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُغَفَّلٍ , كَمَا أَخْرَجَهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ فِي هَذَا الْبَابِ وَسُفْيَانُ بْنُ أَبِي زُهَيْرٍ كَمَا أَخْرَجَهُ الشَّيْخَانِ. قَوْلُهُ : ( هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ) وَأَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ.…
