حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي دَاوُدُ بْنُ الْحُصَيْنِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ

رَدَّ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ابْنَتَهُ زَيْنَبَ عَلَى أَبِي الْعَاصِي بْنِ الرَّبِيعِ بَعْدَ سِتِّ سِنِينَ بِالنِّكَاحِ الأَوَّلِ وَلَمْ يُحْدِثْ نِكَاحًا ‏

Ibn Abbas narrated:

"The Prophet returned his daughter Zainab to Abul-As bin Ar-Rabi after six years in the first marriage without renewing the marriage."

Al-Mubarakfuri — Tuhfat al-Ahwadhi

قَوْلُهُ : ( بَعْدَ سِتِّ سِنِينَ بِالنِّكَاحِ الْأَوَّلِ وَلَمْ يُحْدِثْ نِكَاحًا ) وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ لِأَحْمَدَ وَأَبِي دَاوُدَ وَابْنِ مَاجَهْ : بَعْدَ سَنَتَيْنِ. قَالَ الشَّوْكَانِيُّ : وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ بَعْدَ ثَلَاثِ سِنِينَ وَأَشَارَ فِي الْفَتْحِ إِلَى الْجَمْعِ فَدَلَّ : الْمُرَادُ بِالسِّتِّ مَا بَيْنَ هِجْرَةِ زَيْنَبَ وَإِسْلَامِهِ , وَبِالسَّنَتَيْنِ أَوْ الثَّلَاثِ مَا بَيْنَ نُزُولِ قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى : { لَا هُنَّ حِلٌّ لَهُمْ } وَقُدُومِهِ مُسْلِمًا فَإِنَّ بَيْنَهُمَا سَنَتَيْنِ وَأَشْهُرًا. قَوْلُهُ : ( هَذَا حَدِيثٌ لَيْسَ بِإِسْنَادِهِ بَأْسٌ ) حَدِيثُ اِبْنِ عَبَّاسٍ هَذَا صَحَّحَهُ الْحَاكِمُ. وَقَالَ الْخَطَّابِيُّ : هُوَ أَصَحُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ , وَكَذ…

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) restored his daughter Zaynab to Abul'As on the basis of the previous marriage, and he did not do anything afresh. Muhammad b. 'Amr said in his version: After six years. Al-Hasan b. 'Ali said: After two years.
