أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سَمْعَانَ، قَالَ جَاءَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ إِلَى مَسْجِدِ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ فَقَالَ ثَلاَثٌ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَعْمَلُ بِهِنَّ تَرَكَهُنَّ النَّاسُ

كَانَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ فِي الصَّلاَةِ مَدًّا وَيَسْكُتُ هُنَيْهَةً وَيُكَبِّرُ إِذَا سَجَدَ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ ‏.‏

Sa'eed bin Sam'an said Abu Hurairah came to the Masjid of Banu Zuraiq and said:

"There are three things that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to do and the people have abandoned; he used to raise his hands extended when praying, and he would fall silent briefly, and say takbir when he prostrated and when he sat up."

Al-Sindi — Hashiyat al-Sindi on Sunan al-Nasa'i

قَوْله ( مَدًّا ) أَيْ رَفْعًا بَلِيغًا أَوْ رَفْعًا وَهُوَ مَصْدَر مِنْ غَيْر لَفْظ الْفِعْل كَقَعَدْت جُلُوسًا إِلَّا أَنَّهُ عَلَى الْأَوَّل لِلنَّوْعِ وَعَلَى الثَّانِي لِلتَّأْكِيدِ ( هُنَيْهَة ) بِضَمِّ هَاء وَفَتْح نُون وَسُكُون يَاء أَيْ زَمَانًا يَسِيرًا وَالْمُرَاد السُّكُوت قَبْل الْقِرَاءَة أَوْ بَعْد الْفَاتِحَة وَالْحَدِيث يَدُلّ عَلَى أَنَّ النَّاس تَرَكُوا بَعْض السُّنَن وَقْت الصَّحَابَة فَيَنْبَغِي الِاعْتِمَاد عَلَى الْأَحَادِيث وَاللَّهُ تَعَالَى أَعْلَمُ.…

Abu Dawud reported a Hadith narrated by Abu Humaid (RA) to the effect that he [Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)] used to raise his hands and bring them parallel to his shoulders, and then utter the Takbir.

وَفِي حَدِيثِ أَبِي حُمَيْدٍ , عِنْدَ أَبِي دَاوُدَ : { يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى يُحَاذِيَ بِهِمَا مَنْكِبَيْهِ, ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرَ } 1‏ ‏1 ‏- صحيح .‏ رواه أبو داود (730)‏ .‏
