أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، وَسُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، عَنِ ابْنِ وَهْبٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم حِينَ يَقْدَمُ مَكَّةَ

يَسْتَلِمُ الرُّكْنَ الأَسْوَدَ أَوَّلَ مَا يَطُوفُ يَخُبُّ ثَلاَثَةَ أَطْوَافٍ مِنَ السَّبْعِ ‏.‏

It was narrated from Salim that his father said:

"When the Messenger of Allah came to Makkah, he touched the Black Stone and at the beginning of his Tawaf, he walked rapidly in (the first) three of the seven rounds."

قَوْله ( اِسْتَلَمَ ) هُوَ اِفْتِعَال مِنْ السَّلَام بِمَعْنَى التَّحِيَّة أَوْ السَّلِمَة بِكَسْرِ اللَّام بِمَعْنَى الْحَجَر وَمَعْنَاهُ عَلَى هَذَا لِمَسِّ الْحَجَر أَوْ تَنَاوُله وَنَظِيره اِكْتَحَلَ مِنْ الْكُحْل بِمَعْنَى الْحَجَر الْمَخْصُوص وَمَعْنَى اِكْتَحَلَ أَصَابَ الْكُحْل وَالْمُرَاد بِالرُّكْنِ الْأَسْوَد الْحَجَر الْأَسْوَد وَأُطْلِق عَلَيْهِ اِسْم الرُّكْن بِعَلَاقَةِ الْحُلُول وَلِذَلِكَ وُصِفَ بِالْأَسْوَدِ وَتَعَلُّق اِسْتَلَمَ عَلَى التَّقْرِير الثَّانِي مَبْنِيّ عَلَى التَّجْرِيد مِثْل أَسْرَى بِعَبْدِهِ لَيْلًا ( يَخُبّ ) مِنْ بَاب نَصَرَ وَالْجُمْلَة بَيَان كَيْفِيَّة الطَّوَاف.…

I saw that when Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came to Mecca and kissed the Black Stone, (in the first circumambulation) he moved quickly in three circuits out of seven circuits.

يَقْدَمُ مَكَّةَ إِذَا اسْتَلَمَ الرُّكْنَ الأَسْوَدَ أَوَّلَ مَا يَطُوفُ حِينَ يَقْدَمُ يَخُبُّ ثَلاَثَةَ أَطْوَافٍ مِنَ السَّبْعِ ‏.‏

“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) did not touch the corners of the Ka’bah apart from the Black Corner (i.e., the corner where the Black Stone is) and the one that is next to it facing the houses of Banu Jumah (i.e., the Yemenite Corner).”
