أَخْبَرَنَا حَاجِبُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمَنْبِجِيُّ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي رَوَّادٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم الْكَعْبَةَ

فَسَبَّحَ فِي نَوَاحِيهَا وَكَبَّرَ وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ فَصَلَّى خَلْفَ الْمَقَامِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَالَ ‏"‏ هَذِهِ الْقِبْلَةُ ‏"

It was narrated that Usmah bin Zaid said:

"The Messenger of Allah entered the Kabah and recited the Tasbih and the Takbir in its corners, but he did not pray. Then he came out and prayed two Rakahs behind the Maqam, then he said: 'This is Qiblah.'"

قَوْله ( وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ ) قِيلَ عَلِمَ أُسَامَة بِذَلِكَ لِكَوْنِهِ كَانَ مَشْغُولًا فَمَا اِطَّلَعَ عَلَى الصَّلَاة فَأُخْبِر بِحَسَبِ ذَلِكَ وَالْمُثْبِت مُقَدَّم ( هَذِهِ ) الْإِشَارَة إِلَى الْكَعْبَة الْمُشَرَّفَة أَوَجِهَتهَا وَعَلَى الثَّانِي الْحَصْر وَاضِح وَعَلَى الْأَوَّل بِاعْتِبَارِ مَنْ كَانَ دَاخِل الْمَسْجِد أَوْ مَنْ كَانَ بِمَكَّة وَاللَّهُ تَعَالَى أَعْلَم.…

Ibn Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) reported that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) entered the Ka'ba, and in it there were six pillars, and he stood near a pillar and made supplication, but did not observe the prayer.

دَخَلَ الْكَعْبَةَ وَفِيهَا سِتُّ سَوَارٍ فَقَامَ عِنْدَ سَارِيَةٍ فَدَعَا وَلَمْ يُصَلِّ

When the Prophet (ﷺ) entered the Ka`ba, he invoked Allah in each and every side of it and did not pray till he came out of it, and offered a two-rak`at prayer facing the Ka`ba and said, "This is the Qibla."
