Chapter: A Woman Giving Charity From Her Husband's House

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏

"‏ إِذَا تَصَدَّقَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ بَيْتِ زَوْجِهَا كَانَ لَهَا أَجْرٌ وَلِلزَّوْجِ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ وَلِلْخَازِنِ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ وَلاَ يَنْقُصُ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا مِنْ أَجْرِ صَاحِبِهِ شَيْئًا لِلزَّوْجِ بِمَا كَسَبَ وَلَهَا بِمَا أَنْفَقَتْ ‏"

It was narrated from 'Aishah that the Prophet said:

"When a woman give charity from her husband's house, she will have a reward, and her husband will have a similar reward, and the storekeeper will have a similar reward, without the reward of any of them detracting from the reward of the others in the slightest. The husband will be rewarded for what he earned and she will be rewarded for what she spent."

Al-Sindi — Hashiyat al-Sindi on Sunan al-Nasa'i

( إِذَا تَصَدَّقَتْ الْمَرْأَة مِنْ بَيْت زَوْجهَا كَانَ لَهَا أَجْر وَلِلزَّوْجِ مِثْل ذَلِكَ وَلِلْخَازِنِ مِثْل ذَلِكَ وَلَا يُنْقِص وَاحِد مِنْهُمَا مِنْ أَجْر صَاحِبه شَيْئًا ) قَالَ النَّوَوِيّ : مَعْنَى الْحَدِيث أَنَّ الْمُشَارِك فِي الطَّاعَة مُشَارِك فِي الْأَجْر وَمَعْنَى الْمُشَارَكَة أَنَّ لَهُ أَجْرًا كَمَا لِصَاحِبِهِ أَجْر مِنْ غَيْر أَنْ يُزَاحِمهُ فِي أَجْره , وَالْمُرَاد الْمُشَارَكَة فِي أَصْل الثَّوَاب فَيَكُون لِهَذَا ثَوَاب وَلِهَذَا ثَوَاب وَإِنْ كَانَ أَحَدهمَا أَكْثَر وَلَا يَلْزَم أَنْ يَكُون مِقْدَار ثَوَابهمَا سَوَاء بَلْ قَدْ يَكُون ثَوَاب هَذَا أَكْثَر وَقَدْ يَكُون عَكْسه فَإِذَا أَعْطَى الْمَالِك لِامْرَأَتِهِ أَوْ لِخَازِنِهِ أَوْ لِغَيْرِهِمَا مِائَة دِرْهَ…

the Prophet said: "When a woman gives in charity from her husband's house, she will get the reward for it, and for her husband is the same as that, and for the trustee is the same as that. The reward of each them will not be decreased at all by the reward of the other, for him is what he earned…

the Messenger of Allah said: "When a woman gives from her husband's home, with a good heart, not to spoil it, then she will get a reward similar to his, for her is the good she intended - and the same is for the trustee."

"‏ إِذَا أَعْطَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ بَيْتِ زَوْجِهَا بِطِيبِ نَفْسٍ غَيْرَ مُفْسِدَةٍ كَانَ لَهَا مِثْلُ أَجْرِهِ لَهَا مَا نَوَتْ حَسَنًا وَلِلْخَازِنِ مِثْلُ ذَلِكَ ‏"
