The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to recline in my lap and recite the Qur'an during my menstruation

‘Ā'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) used to recline in my lap and recite the Qur'an during my menstruation.

يَتَّكِئُ فِي حِجْرِي وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ فَيَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ ‏.‏

"The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to lay his head in the lap of one of us and recite Qur'an while she was menstruating, and one of us would take the mat to the Masjid and spread it out when she was menstruating."

يَضَعُ رَأْسَهُ فِي حِجْرِ إِحْدَانَا فَيَتْلُو الْقُرْآنَ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ وَتَقُومُ إِحْدَانَا بِخُمْرَتِهِ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ فَتَبْسُطُهَا وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ ‏.‏

Narrated by Maymūna bint al-Hārith + 1 other version

"The head of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) would rest in the lap of one of us when she was menstruating, and he would recite Qur'an."

كَانَ رَأْسُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فِي حِجْرِ إِحْدَانَا وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ وَهُوَ يَقْرَأُ الْقُرْآنَ ‏.‏
