Musnad Ahmad 1479

On the day of the battle of Uhud the Prophet (ﷺ) mentioned for me both his parents (i.e. saying, "Let my parents be sacrificed for you.").

جَمَعَ لِي النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَبَوَيْهِ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ‏.‏

Narrated by Sa‘d

The Prophet (ﷺ) took out a quiver (of arrows) for me on the day of Uhud and said, "Throw (arrows); let my father and mother be sacrificed for you."

نَثَلَ لِي النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كِنَانَتَهُ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ ارْمِ فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي ‏"

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) mentioned both his father and mother for me on the day of the battle of Uhud.

جَمَعَ لِي النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَبَوَيْهِ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ‏.‏

Narrated by Sa‘d

Sa`d bin Abi Waqqas said, "Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) mentioned both his father and mother for me on the day of the battle of Uhud." He meant when the Prophet (ﷺ) said (to Sa`d) while the latter was fighting. "Let my father and mother be sacrificed for you!"

جَمَعَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ أَبَوَيْهِ كِلَيْهِمَا‏.‏ يُرِيدُ حِينَ قَالَ ‏"‏ فِدَاكَ أَبِي وَأُمِّي ‏"‏‏.‏ وَهُوَ يُقَاتِلُ‏.‏

Allah's Messenger (may peace he upon him) gathered his parents for me on the Day of Uhud.

لَقَدْ جَمَعَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَبَوَيْهِ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ ‏

This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Yabyl b. Sa'id with the same chain of transmitters.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَابْنُ، رُمْحٍ عَنِ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ ‏.‏

'Abdullah ibn Shaddad said, "I heard 'Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, say, 'I did not see the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, saying, ("May my father and mother be) your ransom" after Sa'd. I heard him say to him, "May my father and mother be your ransom."'"

Narrated by Ali

(Sa'd), shoot an arrow, (Sa'd), may my mother and father be taken as ransom for you. I drew an arrow and I shot a featherless arrow at him aiming his side that lie fell down and his private parts were exposed. Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) laughed that I saw his front teeth.
