Narrator:Abu Hurayrah

حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الأَيْلِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي سُلَيْمَانُ، - وَهُوَ ابْنُ بِلاَلٍ - عَنِ الْعَلاَءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏"‏

لاَ يَنْبَغِي لِصِدِّيقٍ أَنْ يَكُونَ لَعَّانًا ‏"

Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:

It does not seem proper for a Siddiq that he should be an invoker of curse.

Reported by Muslim (No. 2597a, 2597b).

قَوْله صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : ( لَا يَنْبَغِي لِصِدِّيقِ أَنْ يَكُون لَعَّانًا وَلَا يَكُون اللَّعَّانُونَ شُهَدَاء وَلَا شُفَعَاء يَوْم الْقِيَامَة ) فِيهِ الزَّجْر عَنْ اللَّعْن , وَأَنَّ مَنْ تَخَلَّقَ بِهِ لَا يَكُون فِيهِ هَذِهِ الصِّفَات الْجَمِيلَة , لِأَنَّ اللَّعْنَة فِي الدُّعَاء يُرَاد بِهَا الْإِبْعَاد مِنْ رَحْمَة اللَّه تَعَالَى , وَلَيْسَ الدُّعَاء بِهَذَا مِنْ أَخْلَاق الْمُؤْمِنِينَ الَّذِينَ وَصَفَهُمْ اللَّه تَعَالَى بِالرَّحْمَةِ بَيْنهمْ وَالتَّعَاوُن عَلَى الْبِرّ وَالتَّقْوَى , وَجَعَلَهُمْ كَالْبُنْيَانِ يَشُدّ بَعْضه بَعْضًا , وَكَالْجَسَدِ الْوَاحِد , وَأَنَّ الْمُؤْمِن يُحِبّ لِأَخِيهِ مَا يُحِبّ لِنَفْسِهِ , فَمَنْ دَعَا عَلَى أَخِيهِ الْمُسْلِم بِاللَ…

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It does not befit the truthful person to frequently curse others."
