حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، فِيمَا قُرِئَ عَلَيْهِ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّهَا أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّهَا، سَمِعَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَمُوتَ وَهُوَ مُسْنِدٌ إِلَى صَدْرِهَا وَأَصْغَتْ إِلَيْهِ وَهُوَ يَقُولُ ‏"‏

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالرَّفِيقِ ‏"

A'isha reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) at the time of breathing his last was reclining against her chest and she was leaning over him and listening to him as he was saying:

O Allah, grant me pardon, show mercy to me, enjoin me to companions (on High).

قَوْله صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : ( اللَّهُمَّ اِغْفِرْ لِي وَارْحَمْنِي وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالرَّفِيقِ ) وَفِي رِوَايَة : ( الرَّفِيق الْأَعْلَى ) الصَّحِيح الَّذِي عَلَيْهِ الْجُمْهُور أَنَّ الْمُرَاد بِالرَّفِيقِ الْأَعْلَى الْأَنْبِيَاء السَّاكِنُونَ أَعْلَى عَلِيِّينَ , وَلَفْظَة ( رَفِيق ) تُطْلَقُ عَلَى الْوَاحِد وَالْجَمْع قَالَ اللَّه تَعَالَى : { وَحَسُنَ أُولَئِكَ رَفِيقًا } وَقِيلَ : هُوَ اللَّه تَعَالَى يُقَالُ : اللَّه رَفِيقٌ بِعِبَادِهِ , مِنْ الرِّفْق وَالرَّأْفَة , فَهُوَ فَعِيلٌ بِمَعْنَى فَاعِل. وَأَنْكَرَ الْأَزْهَرِيُّ هَذَا الْقَوْل , وَقِيلَ : أَرَادَ مُرْتَفَق الْجَنَّة.…

‘Ā'ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: I heard the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) saying: while reclining on me: "O Allah, forgive me, bestow Your mercy on me, and join me with the exalted companions."
