Chapter: It is recommended to stone Jamrat Al-'Aqabah, on the day of sacrifice, riding, and the prophet saws said: "Learn your rituals (of Hajj) from me"

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ يُونُسَ، - قَالَ ابْنُ خَشْرَمٍ أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى، - عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرًا، يَقُولُ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم

يَرْمِي عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ يَوْمَ النَّحْرِ وَيَقُولُ ‏"‏ لِتَأْخُذُوا مَنَاسِكَكُمْ فَإِنِّي لاَ أَدْرِي لَعَلِّي لاَ أَحُجُّ بَعْدَ حَجَّتِي هَذِهِ ‏"

Jabir (Allah be pleased with him) reported:

I saw Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) flinging pebbles while riding his camel on the Day of Nahr, and he was saying: Learn your rituals (by seeing me performing them), for I do not know whether I would be performing Hajj after this Hajj of mine.

قَوْله : ( أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْر أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِر بْن عَبْد اللَّه يَقُول رَأَيْت رَسُول اللَّه صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَرْمِي عَلَى رَاحِلَته يَوْم النَّحْر وَيَقُول : لِتَأْخُذُوا مَنَاسِككُمْ فَإِنَى لَا أَدْرِي لَعَلِّي لَا أَحُجّ بَعْد حَجَّتِي هَذِهِ ) فِيهِ : دَلَالَة لِمَا قَالَهُ الشَّافِعِيّ وَمُوَافِقُوهُ أَنَّهُ يُسْتَحَبّ لِمَنْ وَصَلَ مِنًى رَاكِبًا أَنْ يَرْمِي جَمْرَة الْعَقَبَة يَوْم النَّحْر رَاكِبًا , وَلَوْ رَمَاهَا مَاشِيًا جَازَ , وَأَمَّا مَنْ وَصَلَهَا مَاشِيًا فَيَرْمِيهَا مَاشِيًا , وَهَذَا فِي يَوْم النَّحْر , وَأَمَّا الْيَوْمَانِ الْأَوَّلَانِ مِنْ أَيَّام التَّشْرِيق فَالسُّنَّة أَنْ يَرْمِي فِيهِمَا جَمِيع الْجَمَرَات مَاشِيًا , وَفِي الْي…

'Abdullah bin Masud (RAA) narrated that he kept the Ka'bah on his left and Mina on his right and threw the seven pebbles of Jamrat-ul ‘Aqabah. He then said, ‘This is the location where the one on whom surah al-Baqarah. (surah no. 2) was revealed (i e. the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)).’ Agreed upon.

'Umar (RAA) narrated, ‘The pagans did not use to depart from Muzdalifah until the sun had risen, and they would say, ‘Let the sun shine on Thabir (the highest mountain in Makkah). The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) contradicted them and departed from Muzdalifah before sunrise.' Related by Al-Bukhari.
