قَدِمْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَنَحْنُ نَقُولُ لَبَّيْكَ بِالْحَجِّ . فَأَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ نَجْعَلَهَا عُمْرَةً .
Jabir b. 'Abdullah (Allah be pleased with them) reported:
We came with the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) pronouncing Talbiya for Hajj, and the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) commanded us to make (our Ihram) into that of Umra.
Reported by Muslim (No. 1216e), Al-Bukhari (No. 1570) and Ahmad (No. 14304, 14403).
Jābir (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: We came with the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) while we were pronouncing Talbiyah for Hajj, but the Messenger of Allah commanded us; so we made it ‘Umrah.'
