Chapter: What should be done with a Muhrim if he dies?

Authentic hadith of Sahih Muslim Sahih Muslim 1206j

Narrator:Ibn ‘Abbās

حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ زُهَيْرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ جُبَيْرٍ، يَقُولُ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ - رضى الله عنهما - وَقَصَتْ رَجُلاً رَاحِلَتُهُ وَهُوَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم

فَأَمَرَهُمْ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ يَغْسِلُوهُ بِمَاءٍ وَسِدْرٍ وَأَنْ يَكْشِفُوا وَجْهَهُ - حَسِبْتُهُ قَالَ - وَرَأْسَهُ فَإِنَّهُ يُبْعَثُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَهُوَ يُهِلُّ ‏.‏

Sa`id b. Jubair reported on the authority of Ibn `Abbas (Allah be pleased with them) that the camel of a person broke his neck as he was in the company of Allah's Messenger (ﷺ). The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) commanded them (Companions) to wash him with water mixed (with the leaves of) the lote (tree) and to keep his face exposed; (he, the narrator) said:

And his head (too), for he would be raised on the Day of Resurrection pronouncing Talbiya.

A man wearing ihram was thrown by his she-camel and had his neck broken and he died. He was brought to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and he said: Wash and shroud him, but do not cover his head and do not put any perfume on him, for he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection saying the talbiyah.

اغْسِلُوهُ وَكَفِّنُوهُ وَلاَ تُغَطُّوا رَأْسَهُ وَلاَ تُقَرِّبُوهُ طِيبًا فَإِنَّهُ يُبْعَثُ يُهِلُّ ‏"

Sa'id b. a man was performing Hajj with the Messenger of Allah and his she-camel threw him and he died. The Messenger of Allah said: "Wash him and shroud him in two garments, and do not cover his head of his face, for he will be raised on the Day of Resurrection reciting Talbiyah.".

"‏ يُغَسَّلُ وَيُكَفَّنُ فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ وَلاَ يُغَطَّى رَأْسُهُ وَوَجْهُهُ فَإِنَّهُ يَقُومُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُلَبِّيًا ‏"
