Mishkat al-Masabih 6167

That the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked: "Which of the people of your house are most beloved to you?" He said: "Al-Hasan and Al-Husain." And he used to say to Fatimah: "Call my two sons for me so that I may smell them." And he would hug them.

"‏ الْحَسَنُ وَالْحُسَيْنُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَكَانَ يَقُولُ لِفَاطِمَةَ ‏"‏ ادْعِي لِي ابْنَىَّ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ فَيَشُمُّهُمَا وَيَضُمُّهُمَا إِلَيْهِ

Narrated by Anas ibn Mālik

Al-Bara' said, "I saw the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, when al-Hasan was on his shoulder. He was saying, 'O Allah, I love him, so love him.'"
