حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، يَحْيَى بْنُ خَلَفٍ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنِ الشَّيْبَانِيِّ، جَمِيعًا عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ

كَانَتْ إِحْدَانَا إِذَا كَانَتْ حَائِضًا أَمَرَهَا النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ أَنْ تَأْتَزِرَ فِي فَوْرِ حَيْضَتِهَا ثُمَّ يُبَاشِرُهَا وَأَيُّكُمْ يَمْلِكُ إِرْبَهُ كَمَا كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَمْلِكُ إِرْبَهُ

It was narrated that 'Aishah said:

"If one of us was menstruating, the Messenger of Allah would tell her to tie her waist-wrapper around herself if the bleeding was heavy, then he would embrace her. And who among you can control his desire as the Messenger of Allah used to control his desire?"

Reported by Ibn Majah (No. 635), Al-Bukhari (No. 302) and Muslim (No. 293b).

Al-Sindi — Hashiyat al-Sindi on Sunan Ibn Majah

قَوْله ( كَانَتْ إِحْدَانَا ) أَيْ إِحْدَى أُمَّهَات الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَنْ تَأْتَزِرَ أَيْ بِأَنْ تَأْتَزِرَ قَالُوا هَذَا هُوَ الصَّوَاب وَأَمَّا تَتَّزِر بِتَشْدِيدِ التَّاء فَخَطَأٌ قَوْله ( فَوْر حَيْضَتهَا ) هُوَ بِفَتْحِ الْفَاء وَسُكُون الْوَاو أَيْ مُعْظَمه مُتَعَلِّق بِأَمَرَ إِمَّا لِبَيَانِ أَنَّهُ لَا يَتَقَيَّد بِالِاتِّزَارِ فِي غَيْر الْفَوْر أَوْ لِبَيَانِ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُبَاشِر فِي فَوْر الدَّم أَيْضًا مَا فَوْق الْإِزَار فَكَيْف بِغَيْرِهِ وَلَيْسَ الْمَقْصُود أَنَّهُ يُبَاشِر فِي غَيْر الْفَوْر بِلَا إِزَار وَإِلَى الْأَوَّل يُشِير مَا رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَة عَنْ بَعْض أَزْوَاج النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّ النَّبِيّ صَلَّى اللَّه عَلَيْهِ وَ…

The Prophet (ﷺ) used to embrace me during my menses. He also used to put his head out of the mosque while he was in I`tikaf, and I would wash it during my menses.

يُبَاشِرُنِي وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ‏.‏ وَكَانَ يُخْرِجُ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ وَهْوَ مُعْتَكِفٌ فَأَغْسِلُهُ وَأَنَا حَائِضٌ‏.‏

Maimunah daughter of Al Harith said “When the Apostle of Allaah(ﷺ) intended to associate and lie with any of his wives who was menstruating, he ordered her to wrap up the lower garment(loin-cloth) and then he had association with her.

أَرَادَ أَنْ يُبَاشِرَ امْرَأَةً مِنْ نِسَائِهِ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ أَمَرَهَا أَنْ تَتَّزِرَ ثُمَّ يُبَاشِرُهَا ‏.‏
