Narrator:Anas ibn Mālik

حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم

ـ يَتَوَضَّأُ لِكُلِّ صَلاَةٍ وَكُنَّا نَحْنُ نُصَلِّي الصَّلَوَاتِ كُلَّهَا بِوُضُوءٍ وَاحِدٍ ‏.‏

It was narrated that Anas bin Malik said:

"The Messenger of Allah used to perform ablution for every prayer, and we used to perform all of the prayers with one ablution."

Al-Sindi — Hashiyat al-Sindi on Sunan Ibn Majah

قَوْله ( يَتَوَضَّأ لِكُلِّ صَلَاة ) أَيْ كَانَ يَعْتَاد ذَلِكَ وَإِنْ كَانَ قَدْ جَمَعَ بَيْن صَلَاتَيْنِ وَأَكْثَر بِوُضُوءِ وَاحِد كَمَا فِي الْحَدِيث الْآتِي وَلَهُ نَظَائِر لَا تَخْفَى عَلَى الْمُتَتَبِّع وَيُمْكِن أَنْ يُقَال هَذَا إِخْبَار عَلَى حَسْب مَا اِطَّلَعَ عَلَيْهِ أَنَس وَهُوَ لَمْ يَطَّلِع عَلَى خِلَاف هَذَا وَإِنْ كَانَ ثَابِتًا فِي الْوَاقِع وَكُنَّا نُصَلِّي الصَّلَوَات كُلّهَا الْمُرَاد صَلَاة الْيَوْم الْوَاحِد وَلَعَلَّ الْمُرَاد أَنَّهُمْ أَحْيَانًا كَانُوا يُصَلُّونَهَا بِوُضُوءِ وَاحِد وَإِلَّا فَلَا يَخْفَى أَنَّهُ خِلَاف الْمُعْتَاد ثُمَّ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيث وَأَمْثَاله تَبَيَّنَ أَنَّ الْمُرَاد بِقَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلَاة أَيْ وَأَنْتُمْ مُح…

"I saw Jabir bin 'Abdullah performing every prayer with one ablution, and I said: 'What is this?' He said: 'I saw the Messenger of Allah doing this, and I am doing as the Messenger of Allah did.'"

يُصَلِّي الصَّلَوَاتِ بِوُضُوءٍ وَاحِدٍ ‏.‏ فَقُلْتُ مَا هَذَا فَقَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَصْنَعُ هَذَا فَأَنَا أَصْنَعُ كَمَا صَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ‏.‏
