Sunan Ibn Majah 3420

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prohibited drinking directly out of the mouth of a water- skin. [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

وعن أبى هريرة رضى الله عنه قال‏:‏ نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أن يشرب من في السقاء أو القربة.‏((متفق عليه))

He told that God’s messenger forbade drinking from a broken place in a cup and blowing into a drink. Abu Dawud transmitted it.

وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الشُّرْبِ مِنْ ثُلْمَةِ الْقَدَحِ وَأَنْ يُنْفَخَ فِي الشَّرَابِ. رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ

Abu Sa‘īd al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade turning the waterskins upside down and drinking from their mouths.

نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ اخْتِنَاثِ الأَسْقِيَةِ‏.‏ يَعْنِي

Narrated by Abu Sa‘īd al-Khudri Explained

“The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) forbade tipping up water skins in order to drink from their mouths.”

ـ عَنِ اخْتِنَاثِ الأَسْقِيَةِ أَنْ يُشْرَبَ مِنْ أَفْوَاهِهَا ‏.‏

I heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbidding the drinking of water by bending the mouths of water skins, i.e., drinking from the mouths directly.

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) forbade drinking directly from the mouth of a water skin or other leather containers. and forbade preventing one's neighbor from fixing a peg in (the wall of) one's house.

عَنِ الشُّرْبِ مِنْ فَمِ الْقِرْبَةِ أَوِ السِّقَاءِ، وَأَنْ يَمْنَعَ جَارَهُ أَنْ يَغْرِزَ خَشَبَهُ فِي دَارِهِ‏.‏
