حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ نَوْفَلٍ الْقُرَشِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، عَنْ جُدَامَةَ بِنْتِ وَهْبٍ الأَسَدِيَّةِ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَقُولُ ‏

"‏ قَدْ أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَنْهَى عَنِ الْغِيَالِ فَإِذَا فَارِسُ وَالرُّومُ يُغِيلُونَ فَلاَ يَقْتُلُونَ أَوْلاَدَهُمْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ وَسُئِلَ عَنِ الْعَزْلِ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ هُوَ الْوَأْدُ الْخَفِيُّ ‏"

It was narrated that Judamah bint Wahb Al-Asadiyyah said:

"I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'I wanted to forbid intercourse with a nursing mother, but then (I saw that) the Persians and the Romans do this, and it does not kill their children.' And I heard him say/when he was asked about coitus interruptus: 'It is the disguised form of b.rryirg children alive."

Al-Sindi — Hashiyat al-Sindi on Sunan Ibn Majah

قَوْله ( عَنْ جُدَامَة ) قِيلَ بِالدَّالِ الْمُهْمَلَة قَالَهُ الدَّارَقُطْنِيُّ مَنْ قَالَ بِالْمُعْجَمَةِ فَقَدْ صَحَّفَ قَوْله ( قَدْ أَرَدْت أَنْ أَنْهَى عَنْ الْغَيْل ) هُوَ بِفَتْحِ الْمُعْجَمَة أَنْ يُجَامِعَ الرَّجُلُ زَوْجَتَهُ وَهِيَ تُرْضِعُ وَفِي كَثِيرٍ مِنْ الْأُصُول عَنْ الْغِيَال وَأَرَادَ النَّهْي عَنْ ذَلِكَ لِمَا اُشْتُهِرَ عِنْد الْعَرَب أَنَّهُ يَضُرُّ بِالْوَلَدِ ثُمَّ رَجَعَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ حِين تَحَقَّقَ عِنْده عَدَمُ الضَّرَرِ فِي بَعْض النَّاس كَفَارِسٍ وَالرُّوم وَهَذَا يَقْتَضِي أَنَّهُ فَوَّضَ إِلَيْهِ فِي بَعْض الْأُمُور ضَوَابِط فَكَانَ يَنْظُرُ فِي الْجُزْئِيَّات وَانْدِرَاجهَا فِي الضَّوَابِط قَوْله ( هُوَ الْوَأْدُ الْخَفِيُّ ) قِيلَ جَعَلَ الْعَزْل عَنْ الْمَرْ…

she heard the Messenger of Allah say: "Do not kill your children secretly, for by the One in Whose Hand is my soul, intercourse with a breastfeeding woman catches up with people when they are riding their horses (in battle) and wrestles them to the ground."
