Chapter: What was narrated concerning the times when the funeral prayer should not be offered and the deceased should not be buried

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، أَنْبَأَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ الْيَمَانِ، عَنْ مِنْهَالِ بْنِ خَلِيفَةَ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ
أَدْخَلَ رَجُلاً قَبْرَهُ لَيْلاً وَأَسْرَجَ فِي قَبْرِهِ .
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) placed a man in his grave at night, and he lit a lamp in his grave.
Reported by Ibn Majah (No. 1520).
