حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، أَنْبَأَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ الْمَكِّيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ خُثَيْمٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ‏

"‏ خَيْرُ ثِيَابِكُمُ الْبَيَاضُ فَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ وَالْبَسُوهَا ‏"

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“The best of your garments are those which are white, so shroud your dead in them, and wear them.”

Reported by Ibn Majah (No. 1472).

وعن ابن عباس رضى الله عنهما أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ إلبسوا من ثيابكم البياض؛ فإنها من خير ثيابكم، وكفنوا فيها موتاكم‏"‏.‏((رواه أبو داود والترمذي))

Abud Darda’ reported God’s messenger as saying, “The best thing in which to visit God in your graves and in your mosques is white." Ibn Majah transmitted it.

وَعَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّ أَحْسَنَ مَا زُرْتُمُ اللَّهَ فِي قُبُورِكُمْ وَمَسَاجِدِكُمُ الْبَيَاضُ» . رَوَاهُ ابْن مَاجَه

Authentic Sunan an-Nasa'i 5323

"The Messenger of Allah [SAW] said: 'You should wear white garments; dress your living ones in them, and shroud your dead in them, for they are among the best of your garments.'"

"‏ عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْبَيَاضِ مِنَ الثِّيَابِ فَلْيَلْبَسْهَا أَحْيَاؤُكُمْ وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ فَإِنَّهَا مِنْ خَيْرِ ثِيَابِكُمْ ‏"
